The WA-3 emits signals for priority road users in accordance with DIN 14610 or ISO7640 and has for this the General Design Certification M25010 of the Federal Office for Motor Traffic.

For Switzerland the WA-3 received the design certification CH 2061, for Austria the type certification  719082.

The WA-3 emits an acoustic warning signal that is most effective in urban or interurban operations without changeover: more audible without increase in volume.

Owing to the special shape of the housing and the positioning of the two integrated loudspeakers, a wide-angle effect of the sound radiation is achieved, providing more safety for the emergency personnel, including at blind intersections.

In the version WA-3B with an attached omnidirectional beacon, additional installation costs for external omnidirectional beacons are spared. Owing to the positioning of the beacon on the WA-3B housing, a complete 360 degree omnidirectional effect is obtained. There is no blind area resulting from components on the vehicle roof.
