General Data
The electronic tone-sequence and optical unit TOP-1 for piority road users emits visual and acoustic signals in accordance with DIN 14610 und ISO 7640 and has for this the design certification M25017.
The stop signaler transmits clear and easily recognizable instructions to the road users. Texts are displayed one word at a time. STOP POLICE is displayed in mirror writing towards the front or, alternatively, in normal writing towards the rear, while PLEASE FOllOW is displayed, according to its purpose, only towards the rear. The other texts in normal writing are displayed towards the front as well as towards the rear.
The TOP-1 is mounted rigidly on the car roof. A universal installation kit and a flexible rubber pad enable it to be adjusted to various vehicle-roof curvatures. An arch is used to reinforce the roof.
The power amplifier is housed in the stylish and compact rooftop unit while the control electronics are housed in the operating unit. The special signal transmission (serial interface) between the operating unit and the TOP-1 rooftop unit reduces wiring to a minumum.
Operating Unit BT-6
The microprocessor-controlled operating unit BT-6 has a housing whose dimensions are in accordance with DIN 75500 Form A. This allows for trouble-free fitting in a suitable radio compartment.
The functions are activated by means of illuminated push buttons. Each push button is assigned at least one LED, which lights up when the function is activated. Each omnidirectional beacon is assigned one LED control display.
In the display fields of the TOP-1, texts consisting of a maximum of two words of seven letters each can be displayed that are programmable in a user-specific manner.
