Use
The remote monitoring group is used in all types of interlockings (apart from electronic interlocking) for the realisation of the remote monitoring interface to level crossing protection systems.
Function
The interface is based on a 4-wire connection which is able to transfer 6 information. Besides the disturbance, no disturbance and failure information the information of the switching on of the level crossing, the timeout and the low loading information are transferred.
Technical design
The group contains the necessary relays and an electronic module and is provided for the installation in a standard frame. The evaluation of the information within the remote monitoring group is realised by anti-parallel connected optocouplers which switch two different relays dependent on the polarity of the current. In order position there is no current-free status at the interface circuits at any time.
