The PINTSCH BAMAG marine lantern type LEDMIN MKII is designed as an omnidirectional beacon and is intended for operation in rough maritime environments. The LED technology combines low power consumption with high light output and service life and guarantees long maintenance intervals. The LEDMIN is intended for use on fixed and floating marine aids to navigation. The vertical light distribution can be adapted by selecting various lenses. The broader vertical angle of the LEDMIN 10° offers much more even visibility, especially in high waves, when mounted on buoys. Different types of the seawater resistant aluminium housing are available with the protection rating of IP 67.
Technical data
- Operation life time of the LED´s: up to 100,000 hours (corresponding to manufacturer’s specifications)
- Monitoring of each individual LED. In the event of failure, the neighbouring LED´s can produce up to 50% more brightness in order to guarantee 80% of the light in the direction of the defective LED
- Processor controlled monitoring of the LED temperature directly at the heat sink. When the temperature goes below the adjustable limit (max. 80°C / 176°F), the output power of the lantern is reduced to 50% of it’s nominal value
- Adjustable dusk/dawn settings (preset to120lux)
- Monitoring of the supply voltage with adjustable limit values
- Can be synchronized by a digital signal (e.g. radio, GPS, etc.)
- Operation as main or emergency light with operation monitoring and automatic changeover in case of a defect in the main lantern via the internal flasher
- Parameterization and deactivation/activation via IR or PB-Bus interface (PC, CoDeSy MKII RTU, etc.)
- Saltwater resistant aluminium housing (AIMg-Si)
- Lens is made from UV resistant and sturdy polycarbonate
- Watertight plug connectors (Schaltbau M1 series, 5 or 7-pole)
- Wireless remote control for function check as option
