General Data

There are many situations in which human lives and property must be got to safety. If warning is given promptly and purposefully, damage may be prevented or its extent substantially reduced. In the case of disasters, people must be able to receive warnings at any time and in any place.
A reliable solution: the PINTSCH BAMAG electronic siren. The wide-area irradiation of the affected zone with the sound of sirens signals an imminent disaster.
Voice announcements can supply the public with up-to-date information and provide a degree of coverage that cannot be guaranteed by public media. In addition to this, the solar option guarantees independence from the electricity network. From the calling out of individual rural fire brigades to a complete public warning system. Where people have responsibility for others, warning must be given promptly whenever a disaster occurs.
Zero Maintenance
The SES does not contain any motors, compressors or other moving, mechanical parts. Signal tones are generated solely by electronic components. Maintenance is not necessary.
Site Independence
The low power consumption and the high efficiency of the SES enable it to be operated all year round with batteries that can be charged by means of an optional solar module (in Central European climatic and light conditions). Uninterruptible operating of the system is thus guaranteed. In locational planning the availability of mains power is therefore no longer relevant. This means that topographical requirements can be implemented optimally and the high costs for a three-phase current connection are spared.
Mains Power-Independent
If the siren is operated from the mains only, the absolutely maintenance-free lead gel batteries guarantee at least 10 days operation in the case of a mains power failure. In this time, 20 alarms and 20 1-minute voice announcements can be carried out at all events. The lead gel batteries used are characterized by their long service life of approx. 6 years with an 80% residual capacity. In contrast to motor or pneumatic sirens, a mains voltage of 230V is sufficient, with a power consumption of max. 100W in charge mode and 6W in stand-by mode.
Coverage Patterns
Owing to the modular construction of acoustic radiators and intermediate flanges, it is possible to select between omnidirectional (0° - 360°) and unidirectional coverage patterns.
Voice Announcements
When carrying out alerts, it is often insufficient to send out siren signals. Vital information on the current situation, the correct behaviour to adopt, and the estimated duration can be broadcast over the SES thanks to the loudspeaker system used. Voice announcements can be tailored to every event. As an option, a voice memory is available in which predetermined announcements can be recorded and reproduced if required. In this way, undesirable announcements can be avoided and some of the burden can be taken off the alerting centre.
Flexible Siren Signals
Motor sirens generate the signals by actuation of a rotor at different time intervals. This means that only a small number of different signals can be used. In contrast to this, a progammable signal generator in the SES generates any number of tones and signal patterns.
Integrated System
The SES has a modular construction. The basic version is already equipped with acoustic radiators, a microprocessor-controlled electronic unit and maintenance-free batteries. Optionally, this can be extended to various applications such as on-the-spot or remote-controlled activation, or solar operation. Running state confirmation and status messages are also available as an option. Centrally controlled siren systems can be integrated via the optional control-centre and information software system. Information such as wind and climate data is recorded and processed. In this way, alerting can be carried out in dependence upon e.g. the situation and the weather.
